When potential problems are identified, clinicians on staff at ActiveHealth Management immediately review the cases and notify treating physicians by phone call, letter or fax depending on the urgency of the situation. Patients receive better care. Providers have added resources, more satisfied patients and a better defense against malpractice risks. And payers save as much as $10 per employee per month in avoided medical claims, according to a recent study that was published in the American Journal of Managed Care (Feb 2005: 93-102).
